This Privacy Policy explains how Image Makers Studio (استوديو صُنّاع الصور), Commercial Registration No. 1010745105, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ("the studio", "we"), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit our website, book a session, or communicate with us. It is prepared in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations. The Arabic version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

1. Data We Collect

  • Contact and booking details: name, phone number, email address, event date, venue and address, event coordinator's name, special instructions, and shot lists.
  • Payment details: transaction reference, amount paid, and payment status. Card numbers are processed by the payment gateway and are never stored by the studio.
  • Photographs and videos: the images and footage captured during your session, including images of guests and family members.
  • Communications: messages exchanged with us by email, WhatsApp, or social media, including complaints and consent records.
  • Website usage data: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and cookies, collected by our website platform (Shopify) and its apps.

2. Purposes and Legal Basis

We process personal data only for the following purposes: managing bookings and payments, performing the photography service, editing and delivering your files, producing albums and prints, accounting and invoicing, after-sales support and complaints, and complying with legal obligations. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating the studio, compliance with the law, and — for marketing use of images and marketing communications — your explicit consent.

3. Use of Your Photos in Marketing

  1. Your photos and videos are not used or published on our website, social media, advertising, competitions, or portfolio except with your separate, clear, and verifiable consent. Consent to publication is never a condition of receiving the service.
  2. You may decline marketing use or withdraw consent at any time by email at rawan@rawanm.info or WhatsApp 054717774. New use stops without undue delay, subject to what was lawfully published or printed before withdrawal.
  3. Your consent does not automatically cover all guests. We seek separate consent from anyone whose image will be used prominently in marketing, and a legal guardian's consent is required for images of minors where the law so requires.

4. Sharing and Processors

We do not sell personal data and do not disclose it to any party for that party's marketing purposes. Data may be processed on our behalf, to the extent necessary to provide and protect the service, by: Shopify (website and order platform), our payment gateway, our booking application, our cloud storage provider, and the printing lab producing albums. Some of these providers may store or process data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards permitted under the PDPL. Data may also be disclosed where required by law or a competent authority.

5. Storage, Security and Retention

  1. Photos and videos are stored in cloud storage and on a dedicated storage drive within the studio office, with access limited to authorised studio staff.
  2. Delivery links are protected and shared only with those you choose. You are responsible for keeping the link confidential after receipt and for informing us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
  3. We keep a working copy of your final files for 12 months from delivery, and the files needed to produce your album until its period ends, unless the law or an ongoing dispute requires longer retention. Booking and payment records are retained for the periods required by commercial and tax regulations. After the retention period, files are securely destroyed, after notifying you where possible.

6. Your Rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to: be informed about how your data is processed; access your data and obtain a copy of it; request correction, completion, or updating; request destruction of data that is no longer needed, in accordance with the law; and withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we respond within the periods required by law.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (cart, checkout, language), analytics, and — where enabled — marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect the website's operation.

8. Children

The website is not directed at children, and bookings must be made by adults. Images of minors captured during a session are processed only with the consent of the legal guardian where the law so requires.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) or the competent authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version is published on this page with the "Last updated" date, and material changes are notified as required by law.
